A fire alarm system is a network of smoke detectors, heat detectors and manual call points wired to a centralized fire alarm panel — addressable or conventional depending on your facility's size — that sounds an alarm and triggers your facility's evacuation and emergency response procedures the moment smoke, heat or flame is detected anywhere on the premises.

Detection is only half the job — an alarm that sounds without cueing staff and occupants into a clear evacuation response still costs critical time. A correctly designed fire alarm system is also a standard requirement when applying for a Fire NOC in India.

Addressable panels pinpoint the exact device that triggered an alarm — critical in larger facilities where a conventional zone-only panel would only narrow the search down to an entire wing or floor, slowing the emergency response down at exactly the point it needs to be fastest.
