Fire Pump House
We provide engineering and project support for complete fire pump house systems to ensure dependable water supply for firefighting applications.
What's Included
- Hydraulic demand calculation and pump selection
- Supply and installation of pump sets and pump house piping
- Commissioning and flow/pressure testing
- Routine diesel pump auto-start and jockey pump testing
- AMC for the full pump house
The fire pump house supplies pressurized, dependable water to a facility's entire fire fighting network — hydrants, sprinklers, hose reels and water spray systems — built around electric, diesel and jockey pump sets, along with the associated water storage tank.
Every other water-based fire protection system in a facility depends on the pump house being correctly sized and reliably maintained. It's foundational infrastructure, not an optional add-on.
Our engineering and project support covers the full scope: we calculate your facility's hydraulic flow and pressure demand, select and install the right pump sets and piping, commission the system, and run routine testing — including diesel pump auto-start checks — under AMC.
The diesel pump exists specifically as backup for when mains power fails during a fire — exactly the scenario it needs to work in — which is why its auto-start sequence needs to be tested on a schedule, not assumed to work because it worked at commissioning.
An undersized pump set will still turn on and produce pressure, just not enough of it once multiple hydrants or sprinkler heads open at once — a shortfall that usually only becomes visible during an actual fire unless the system is sized and flow-tested correctly up front.
